Säätiedotus lupasi erittäin kovaa Bora tuulta (syöksytuuli Velebit vuorilta), joten päätettiin mennä suojaiseen Simunin satamaan.

Seuraavien päivien aikana tuuli voimistui satamassakin yli 40 solmuun ja toisella puolella saarta 80 solmuun (40m/s). Ilma oli kuitenkin helteinen ja oli mukava olla suojaisessa satamassa jossa on hyvät palvelut ja mukava pikku kylä vieressä.

The weather forecast promised very strong Bora winds (a gust of wind from the Velebit mountains), so we decided to head to the sheltered harbor of Simun.

During the following days the wind increased to over 40 knots in the harbor and 80 knots (40m/s) on the other side of the island. However, the weather was hot and it was nice to be in a sheltered harbor with good services and a nice little village next door.

Sataman ravintola tarjosi hyviä äyriäis ja kalaherkkuja.

The harbor restaurant offered good seafood and fish delicacies.

Ja naapuriveneen kalastajilta saimme herkullisen kroatialaisen kalakeiton rippeet.

And we got leftovers of delicious Croatian fish soup from the fishermen on the neighboring boat.
